Tervetuloa Nirvon saaren luontopurjehdukselle!
Luontopurjehdus suuntautuu Selkämeren kansallispuiston alueelle, Nirvon saareen ja retkisatamaan, aivan lintuluotojen välittömään läheisyyteen. Retki sopii kaikenikäisille lintubongareille, luonnosta kiinnostuneille sekä kaikille, jotka haluavat hetkeksi nauttimaan saariston rauhasta ja raikkaasta meri-ilmasta.
Purjehduksen aikana ja Nirvon saarella voi nähdä lukuisan määrän eri lintulajeja. Lajimäärät vaihtelevat, mutta erityisen hyvä aika lintujen tarkkailuun on kevätmuutto.
Nirvon luonto on myös itsessään elämys. Saari on Selkämeren alueen luonto pienoiskoossa: siellä on rantaniittyjä, tervaleppälehtoa, kuusikangasta ja saaristometsää – luonnontilassa. Nirvossa kasvaa monenikäistä puustoa, jopa satoja vuosia vanhoja mäntyjä sekä runsaasti lahopuuta, joka houkuttelee paikalle tikkoja; saarella on nähty jopa valkoselkätikan jälkiä.
Saaren poluilla liikkumiseen kannattaa varautua ulkoilujalkinein. Maasto on vaihtelevaa ja merkittyjä luontopolkuja on yhteensä noin kilometrin verran, helppo- ja keskitasoisina reitteinä. Pukeuduthan säänmukaisesti ja lämpimästi – merellä on usein viileämpää kuin maissa. Purjehduksen aikana laiva ja sen lämmitetyt sisätilat ovat koko ajan käytettävissä.
Nirvon saaren edustalla tarjoillaan herkullinen lohikeittoateria, joka sisältyy purjehduksen hintaan, kuten myös kahvitarjoilu. Saarella on lisäksi tulentekopaikka, jossa omien eväiden grillaaminen on mahdollista.
Saarella vietetään aikaa noin 1,5 tunnin ajan.
Welcome to the Nirvo Island Nature Sailing Trip!
This nature sailing trip takes you to Nirvo Island and its guest harbour in the Bothnian Sea National Park, right next to the bird islets. The excursion is suitable for birdwatchers of all ages, nature lovers, and anyone who wants to enjoy the peace of the archipelago and the fresh sea air for a while.
During the cruise and on Nirvo Island you can spot a wide variety of bird species. The number of species varies by season, but the very best time for birdwatching is during the spring migration.
The nature of Nirvo Island is an experience in itself. The island is like the Bothnian Sea in miniature: coastal meadows, black alder groves, spruce forest and natural archipelago woodland. The island hosts trees of many ages, including pine trees that are several hundred years old, as well as plenty of deadwood that attracts woodpeckers – even traces of the white-backed woodpecker have been found on the island.
For walking on the island’s trails, we recommend sturdy outdoor footwear. The terrain is varied and there is about one kilometre of marked nature trails, ranging from easy to intermediate. Please dress warmly and according to the weather – it is often cooler at sea than on land. During the cruise, the ship and its heated indoor spaces are available at all times.
Anchored off Nirvo, we serve a delicious salmon soup meal, which is included in the price of the trip, as is coffee service. On the island, there is also a campfire site where you are welcome to grill your own snacks.
